The rainy or wet season starts in the third week of May and usually lasts until the beginning of October when the first cold front moves from the north. These lower the humidity and bring some of the cool air masses which indicate that the dry season starts. June, July, and August are the hottest months; December, January and February are the perfect months for traveling to The Florida Keys with an average temperature of 75 degrees.

There are basically two seasons in the island chain: “Summer,” with highs around 89 degrees and brief periods of showers and fast moving thunderstorms resulting from all the moisture floating around the Caribbean; and “Winter,” with lows around 75 degrees and clear sunny skies.
