Islamorada, Marathon or somewhere in between

My wife and I are taking our first vacation since our son was born (a year ago) and our last before our next one is due (end of April).  We are planning on visiting the Keys sometime from mid-January to late February.

We are just going for three nights and will be flying into Miami.

Can anyone recommend a place to stay in the middle keys?  I am not sure if we should stay in  Islamorada or Marathon. I think we prefer oceanisde, something quiet and convenient.

I highly recommend you to check the Islander in Islamorada, My wife and I got married across the street on the beach at the Lorelei restaurant and all the party stayed at the islander,  beatiful inexpensive cottages on the oceanside, newly remodeled rooms with your own screen patio to relax, it is oceanside and has two pools, lok it at here  www.islanderfloridakeys.com/
